Arizonafag here. Prickly Pear candy is only really good if you make it yourself, boiling the fruit, picking off the needles & skin, etc. Most of the stuff in stores is way too sugary to actually taste the actual flavor of the fruit, which is way earthier than you would expect.

It's too much of a pain in the ass to make regularly, so if you're not then you can buy the candy but don't expect anything special.

Aplets and Cotlets are made in/from Cashmere, Washington. They (and their variations/other flavors) are some of my favorite candies due to the soft but chewy texture. I realize the proper name is lokum (Turkish delight). In Washington you can find Aplets and Cotlets year round and some of their other flavors (such as Fruit Delights).

I had a friend who spends most of his time on hockey forums. One day he left his PS3 unattended and we used the browser to look on his Facebook. For some reason, he completely ignored all the friend requests he had from his classmates, but added all the strangers he met online. One online stranger asked for his address so he could give him boxes of candy. A week or two later the same box in OP's pic arrived and he ate it without any hesitation.
