Hello VEEGANS. What are some vegan snacks or vegan alternatives do you most enjoy to eat. I've cut out dairy products to help my skin.

fruits and vegetables. Everything else, in terms of snacks and what not I only get when they're on sale, or I have a good coupon for them. Other than that, I try to stick to the staples and maybe get a dark chocolate bar or ice cream if I'm in the mood.

Snacks:
corn chips and chopped tomatoes and celery with cumin/chili powder/etc.
wasabi dried peas
almonds with DIY flavor--old bay or a powdered spice or three, maybe with a dash of olive oil stirred in (eat the oiled ones right away, they do not last)
lots of fruit, esp. frozen in the summer, esp. blueberries and mangos

An alternative staple:
Extra firm tofu, cut into slabs like thin packs of cigarettes, frozen on a baking sheet, then thawed. This gives it a very porous, marinade-soaking texture. Lightly press them dry with a paper towel then hit them with soy sauce, teriyaki, barbecue sauce, worcestershire, etc. Grill, roast, broil, or pan-fry. (Some sauces you might want to put on after cooking.) Use in a sandwich, on a salad, or on a plate as an entrée with a sauce or gravy. Experiment with different thicknesses for different cooking methods and uses.

For a good for a fake-B-LT:
Cut a pack of tempeh into long thin strips, gently fry in corn oil until a bit crispy and golden. Kill the heat then pour on a mixture of soy sauce and liquid smoke (1.5T each) and quickly cover. Really, cover it quickly--this will be very smoky/messy.

The soy sauce/liquid smoke mix also works with tofu flavor-wise, but the texture is not at all bacon-like, even with very thin slices.

Warning: liquid smoke and worcestershire DO NOT go together--major yuck.

Re: no dairy--check out The Uncheese Cookbook by Joanne Stepaniak.

When it comes to store-bought cheese substitutes like Daiya brand fake mozzarella, things have gotten a lot better over the years, at least in terms of the variety of available choices, but I don’t think any of them are any good, especially considering their prices. If one is going to give up dairy, then I’d say just really let it go unless one has a budget and/or a high tolerance for disappointment.

However:
Earth Balance brand original variety margarine is pretty good.

Sweetened vanilla almond milk makes oatmeal just fine, especially with a knob of margarine. Chocolate or pumpkin pudding and pie also. Unsweetened almond milk tastes like cardboard. (I can’t help you with soy milk--don’t care for it.)

Nutritional yeast flakes have a nutty, cheesy flavor like parmesan. Put some almonds and some nooch and maybe some salt in a blender for a sprinkle-able fake-parm--use this in pesto also.

Extra firm tofu mashed up with vegan/mayo-naise, onion- and garlic powder, pepper, and fresh chopped parsley makes a delicious, kind of decadent ricotta substitute--use it in bakes stuffed shells. Don’t mash too much. Omnivores will no-shit go for this.

See Stepaniak for recipes for these last two ideas--lots online also of course.

Are you certain dairy is a problem? Maybe no need to deprive yourself?

I tried cutting dairy out when I had skin issues, didn't help. It might work for you, but just in case you still have problems, cutting out sugar and nightshades helped me. Even most fruit seems to make me break out except strawberries.

Here's a secret, use spring roll wrappers, wet them and fry it to get the crispy texture of bacon.

Seems like psoriasis for me. Some people say nightshades make it worse and they cause problems for me.

Yeah it's dairy and stuff with lots of sugar in that breaks me out. I've not been eating dairy or anything with high sugar for over a year now but have been sick of eating the same food now so looking for some more vegan food.

I agree.
But sverige was trying to roast him back in his vegan days. VP didn't belong in the epitome series of videos, he never looked bad or emaciated like the legendary vegans lol....

And now vegetable police made a video to apologise to Sverige, he admits Sv3rige was right all along, very humble. (He still could go back to Veganism anytime, VP is a vegan at heart)

i went vegan and bad skin/acne was one of the bad reasons. i've eaten like an absolute puritan with minimal sugar, almost no oil, tons of water, etc. no dice. i think it's stress and genetics at this point, so i've accepted having shitty skin. good luck
