In my teens I could I could devour 40 of the spiciest flatliner wings but in my mid 20s I can't even eat spiced bar peanuts without destroying a toilet bowl. Such cases

I'm working my way up to Ultra again after a long while away from spice. Good to see a fellow spice freak here.

Mediocre, but I can eat very sour food. Not sure why that's not a thing though. It destroys food just as much if you haven't yet built a tolerance yet.

>> No.11757485

Very high. Spicy food is godlike and I can't understand those who don't enjoy flavor.

Around 10,000. After that I honestly believe it's just some kind of masochistic dick waving contest, unless you grew up Indian or whatever and have fucked up genes that don't register capsaicin.

I ate the spicy KFC pop corn chicken two days ago and am still getting cramps

any hotter and I'm uncomfortable.
medium buffalo wings are usually perfect for me

>> No.11757526

High, but in the Caribbean we eat pepper on a daily basis.

>> No.11757544

Solid. Can manage 95% of the indian food just fine (including homemade by-indians-for-indians sort of thing). The vast majority of mexican cuisine I can also eat just fine. I can't handle straight habanero, but habanero sauce works.

Ever since I've been living in EU my tolerance has gone to shit tho. Now any hearty dose of spiciness gives me the shits.

10k is pretty comfy for me. Pic related is my favorite atm. I bought a variety six pack of El Yucateco sauces and the xxxtra hot is the one I've been eating the most, nice heat without making your food a chore to eat

Everyone gains tolerance. Keep with it and you too can mark your food for yourself and assholes won't take it from the fridge.

I can handle sweet spiciness like habaneros, but any oily peppers just feel nasty and I can't enjoy them.

>> No.11757820

>>11757088
Depends on the pepper. I can handle most scorpion or reaper based sauces just fine but there's something about ghost that fucks me up, probably how you don't know you've passed your limit until it's way too late.

>> No.11757826

Maybe because most people actually like to experience flavour rather than getting their taste receptors blasted off their tounge.

I enjoy spicy food but over the years I don't care about hot food any more, its just a fucking waste if you go eat out somewhere nice and just have pain as a flavour and not enjoy it. That said indian curry is the fucking bomb, thai food, spicy fried chicken etc.

Pretty high but for some reason raw jalepeno peppers do me in, but something like a reaper doesn't hurt too bad. I don't know why

Vindaloo is my favourite meal.
Ultra Death Sauce is my favourite hot sauce (800,000+ scovilles).

I'm that cunt that's always like "nahh, not hot enough".
I'm not trying to be a big hard man like "LOOK HOW BADASS I AM"... I genuinely have this weird sadistic love of the pain of the heat.
Obviously flavour is more important, but that's why I love vinaloo and Ultra Death Sauce so much... both so hot, both so fucking tasty.

>> No.11758106

I can take quite a bit more than a normal person but I don't see how people enjoy some chillis that just have no flavour and are entirely spice.

>no tolerance at first and, then i tasted this.
yeah i reached the point where most of my food is spicy.

>> No.11758153

>>11758106
it's all about your personal tolerance.
To some people even a Jalapeno is 0% flavor and 100% pain. When your tolerance is high enough to not have a problem from the heat of a pepper then you can taste its flavor. Those super-hot peppers like ghost chilis, scorpions, 7 pot, reapers, etc, DO have a lot of flavor, but they also have a heck of a lot of heat. If your tolerance isn't on some insane level then you don't taste that flavor because it's covered up by the pain.

Somewhere below bird's eyes. A bunch of them in a dish is fine, eating one straight just destroys my tongue until I can't taste anything.
