Most places switched to a flat griddle instead of frying pans. It's hard to do fried bread on a griddle because you can't get a shallow pool of oil for it to sit in. So, a lot of places stopped doing it.

I don't mind chips for breakfast. I was working on a new cancer research building and went across to the hospital cafe for breakfast a few times and it has put me off fry ups. I think I've managed to finish 1 in the last 2 years. Now I go for ham and chesse omelette with chips and salad. Or curry and chips if they have it. I was working in Wales and there was a really cheap place that did homemade faggots, chips, mushy peas and gravy for like £2.40 shit was cash, had it every day
