>cholesterol bad
>meat bad
>fat bad
>Contrary to popular belief, consuming a higher amount of fat (about 35 per cent of energy) is associated with a lower risk of death compared to lower intakes. However, a diet high in carbohydrates (of more than 60 per cent of energy) is related to higher mortality, although not with the risk of cardiovascular disease.
>The research on dietary fats found that they are not associated with major cardiovascular disease, but higher fat consumption was associated with lower mortality; this was seen for all major types of fats (saturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and mono unsaturated fats), with saturated fats being associated with lower stroke risk. The researchers point out that, while this may appear surprising to some, these new results are consistent with several observational studies and randomized controlled trials conducted in Western countries during the last two decades.
>The large new study, when viewed in the context of most previous studies, questions the conventional beliefs about dietary fats and clinical outcomes, says Mahshid Dehghan, the lead author for the study and an investigator at PHRI.

>What the fuck does /ck/ want us to eat?I would offer to say this as a regular sna/ck/er , it is important in terms of longevity and health to avoid addictive eating habits especially any of which have been conerstones to disease and ill health, most importantly those which have been part of modern day comsumption.
Within the last couple of centuries 1st world countries have seen much nutritious food pushed aside for ease of making yet sickening (that which makes you sick/ill) "food"
The advice I'd dare offer is this when considering meals modern day stuff must be made from scratch without much use of suger, flour, even salt for the most part, as for meats they are basically needed for health upon occasion, with a healthy amount being not much more than 6/10 helpings a year
on the other hand sna/ck/ers should as they damn well please knowing fullwell of the tasty treats are going to catch up with them and possibly have them visting places for cancer treatment and or dialysis .... everyone can say this is very much true ... knowing that tomorrow may never come means for many that to the hell with good healthy advice, its best to feed the beast and enjoy feeding the cravings without control as it been this way for quite a while now and very pooular

>Sugar from a fruit in its whole form is not bad, eat orange not orange juice

Only because fruit contains vitamins, minerals and fiber (the later preventing blood sugar spikes). Fructose is still fucking bad regardless (since most of it gets turned into liver fat), so you should limit your fruit consumption to two portions per day for this very reason.

>> No.11719896

>>11719861
Not only this but if you juice a fruit the fructose is still fucking fructose.

Juice is only "bad" because its the equivalent of eating a shitload of fruits at once. Drinking 20 oranges worth of juice is just as unhealthy as sitting down and eating 20 oranges would be, assuming we're talking about real juice and not a concentrate with added sugar.

It bugs me when people act like something magically becomes healthy if you add vitamins or whatever. Shitload of sugar is still bad even if you add some vitamins and fiber to it. Pop-health retards don't seem to understand this.

Food that is only healthy when consumed in very small quantities is what most people would call "unhealthy".

The pubmed link has nothing to do with veganism. All it says is that a certain amino acid is recommended for workout recovery. I wonder if the people who shotgun out a bunch of sources ever have ever read a single paragraph of them.

I drink lots of vodka. That cleans out my system, and even cleans my teeth (I haven’t brushed in years, and haven’t had a cavity since).

I also eat a liverwurst sandwich pretty much every day – to counterbalance the effects the vodka has on my liver. I make my sandwiches on seeded rye (because it’s the healthiest bread), with mayo (because eggs are the best protein; I use kewpie, because the msg makes it taste better), coarse mustard (good for the white blood cells), zucchini pickles (because they taste good), and a bunch of baby spinach (just for filler; it could honestly be left out).

I also eat a lot of canned fish (mostly sardines, but also the occasional fancy smoked oysters) on saltines. They give you all your essential amino acids, and provide a nice opportunity to try out various hot sauces, which are generally very low in calories, while high in flavor and immensely prodigious to healthiness.

Aside from that, I drink large amounts of water (anywhere between ice-cold to slightly chilled) every day, always through a straw, and sometimes with a lemon wedge.

To each their own, I say, but I’m just shy of 30 and am doing better than most of you.
