No. Egg nog is the closest and they only sell it around November and December.

Is that a drink or what?

It's just a subpar mass produced watery custard. Making custard is one of the basic dessert techniques. You probably know all about it, considering you're interested enough in food and cooking to post on a board dedicated to it.

Good custard is thicker than that. You've never had good custard if you don't consider that stuff watery.

Only when we're talking about water. 1cm3 = 1ml = 1g, yadda yadda. Vanilla custard is most likely to be of a greater density, so we can assume it's gonna be less than 2l for 2kg of custard.

It's actually not a huge difference unless you're talking about alcohol (density .789). Custard is 1.07 as far as I can find. So about 1.87L. They probably do that so they can use a half-gallon jug and still put an even number on it.

Dead Alive(Braindead), Bad Taste, and The Feebles.

My family personally drinks it cold too (dunno about the rest of the country), the "boiled" part of the name is just part of the process of how it's prepared.

It probably would be better heated now that I think of it, but it's sold refrigerated alongside the milk so I just never considered it.
