I enjoy a good bloody Mary. I've tried most of the popular mixes that you can find at the average grocery store. I'll usually purchase zing zang when I'm in a pinch. Here is a good Caesar recipe:

Take a chilled pint glass and wet the outer part of the rim. Dip the glass dim in a blend of celery salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Add a few large ice cubes and a celery stick (cut to the height of the glass plus a bit extra, with some leafy bits at the top).

On a toothpick, skewer a lime wedge and 3 spicy pickled string beans (ideally homemade with plenty of horseradish and garlic), and lay across the top of the glass. Add a spoonful of the pickling juice to the glass.

Add your liquor, I make mine with vodka infused with hot peppers and whole black peppercorns. Top up with Clamato. Add a dash of Worcester sauce (and hot sauce if using regular vodka) and stir.

Voila.

thats a spirit mixer, cocktails are more complicated, not massively but still

hard part is making them fast and efficiently, a good bartender should be able to make any order of drinks within 1-2 minutes. easy if its 5 vodka cokes, not so if its an old fashioned, ;2 pina coladas, a mojito, a cuba libre, and a 50/50 sazerac. and that's just one order, in my bar we are required to be taking at least 5 peoples orders constantly to keep the bar from getting slammed and causing people to leave.

How I make mine:

1/4 vodka
Mr. And Mrs. T's - I've tried a lot of different mixes, I find this to be the best
A few dashes of Marie Sharps Beware or Bilezean Heat
A pinch of a mixture of Sidewinder Slims seasoning (many different seasonings including ghost pepper and other super-hots, garlic, paprika etc)
5 grinds of black pepper
One grind of salt
A dash of red wine vinigar
Pickle wedge

Girlfriend will add a dash of garlic mix as well but I think that's too much. Just had a delicious one about an hor ago, perfect amount of salt and pepper mix with a great tang from the vinigar and a very spicy burn from the ghost and habanero. The point is that you're trivializing it. It depends on the establishment though so you're no entirely wrong. A college or sports bar that's ok with using sour mix from a soda gun is more like a fast food joint but there are cocktail bars that make their own syrups, use fresh ingredients for muddling, garnishing, etc.
