I decided to come here to see if anyone would have some good /fit/ recipes I could make with steak and rice but instead all I found was shitposting about fried foods, sodas, and people shilling for cooked meat. Is this really what this board is like?

>> No.11672751

Fuck off gaylord. /fit/ is the worst board. You stupid niggers don't give a shit about food or cooking, just your stupid fucking macros.
>here make some of these disgusting tuna fish patties! they taste terrible but LOOK HOW MUCH PROTEIN YOU'RE GETTING FOR DIRT CHEAP!
You literally may as well eat dog food. In summation, kill yourself.

I can't believe people actually put this much time and labor into food. Just getting up and microwaving some Maruchan noodles is tiring enough for me that I'll sometimes stay in bed even though I'm a little hungry. I can't even imagine what it would be like to buy fifty different cooking ingredients, containers, and equipment and then doing shit like peeling / chopping up vegetables, heating oil in a pan on a stove, measuring, skimming, mixing, boiling, stirring, frying, seasoning, oven baking, etc.

I love cooking nice food that would be expensive in a restaurant and be able to enjoy my food after vaping some weed without leaving the comfort of my house. And cooking is a nice hobby to share with others, since everyone likes good food, especially, when it's free.

Cooking and knowing your ingredients are basic life skills that will let your avoid many diet related illnesses later in life. Plus it saves a shit-ton of money.

The quality of this board dropped like an anvil this summer.
Fast food is the main problem, most anons would rather discuss the finer points of McDonald's or have a weekly chick fil la circlejerk than actually talk about cooking. So that along with general low quality shitposts and political bullshit pretty much kills /ck/.

Why is cooking discussion good and food discussion bad? The board's for both.

Browsing /fit/ makes no sense after you've read the sticky, literally a pointless board. If you identify as a /fit/ poster you are either literally retarded or a novice lifter. Either way go away

There's nothing wrong with discussing food from restaurants. But what about "for me it's the McChicken" or jacking off to chick-fil-a for "hating gays" makes for good discussion?

None of it does.

but what do you expect from a board which is populated by shut-ins who can't cook, young people who were raised in industrial food, and socially inept retards who have minimal experience traveling or eating out?

>But what about "for me it's the McChicken" or jacking off to chick-fil-a for "hating gays" makes for good discussion?
"For me it's X" is fine as a discussion opener. Someone starts by saying they like that food, then others will reply with why they agree or disagree, and the discussion will go into more detail from there. I'd much rather read a thread where people argue about chicken sandwiches than a thread where people post a bunch of over-detailed lists of ingredients and insanely elaborate food preparation methods. I can't even relate to whoever made this infographic as an actual human being:

It's a fucking joke whenever I see some faggot try to measure their test levels by their index finger length or eye angles because they know they're low and they're betas so they're trying to milk as much as they can. /fit/ is as autistic as /r9k/ in that regard
