Also he mention having eaten a thin pizza in Italy, he probably went in Rome, the Birth place of Pizza Naples make it different and thic.

Also he says mozzarella is tasteless, first it is used to enhanced taste(as all fats do) second if you eat a bufala in your margerita you really notice the difference.
Same thing for the peperoni. Not all places have it shitty, if you go in a proper pizzeria restaurant you will notice difference

Last pizza I ate was at Pomodorino, a local restaurant in Siena Italy. It is my favourite pizza: it is made with a normal tomato base with a hot, yet unmelted, burrata at the center and truffle oil over it, and basil.

It is one of the best thing in life.
