Philippines is different than America in a lot of ways. One I've noticed is that, people who we'd consider retarded, will do much to support themselves, and those who are high functioning, do well (comparatively). Mind you, they will live exceedingly humble lives, almost always in a shack or tree house, but the way they live always impresses me. They have much higher levels of autonomy, privacy and freedom than American peers, but they probably have more support from family versus government

i really do not want to upset anyone by saying this but, gosh i have been to the philippines, that country is really gross as is the food and people. such an awful place to be. i sincerely doubt they are the most powerful race in the world.
