Back around the turn of the century I lived by a gas station owned by Indians, they had a closet in one corner they converted into a kitchen, had a half door and a fat shirtless Indian with a two burner hotplate, one was for rice and one was for curry or what ever he felt like making that day. $5 got you a massive serving that would feed you for the day. I miss that place, best Indian food in the US.

He did wear an full apron, just no shirt under.
