Someone bought me one as a present and when you drink a ton of hot drinks having an insulated electric vessel that sits next to you that keeps the fluid near boiling all the time and kicks it back to boiling every time you hit the switch it very convenient. never understood this meme, where do you guys live? i'm on the westcoast and don't think i've ever been to a house that didn't have either an electric kettle or at the least a stove top one in the kitchen. is this a southern thing because it's too hot to use boiled water or something lol. google "american kitchen" and half the stock photos have kettles in them, granted they're not electric, but i assume that's because electric ones are kinda ugly so they'd want the "nicer" ones in the photo
