Just meat. I don’t particularly care about the trophy aspect, but antlers are cool. The last 3 years I took a doe, but this was a buck I shot 4 years ago. Pretty cool. But really it’s just about the meat.

Might wanna have your deer meat tested for CWD. Here in PA we're seeing a lot more elk and deer infected with it. There's been no proof of transmission to humans that consume a sick animal but who wants to take a chance at getting the deer equivalent of mad cow disease?

I killed a doe yesterday and have the heart and liver currently. I usually just pan fry the heart in butter after dredging in flower salt and pepper. I do about the same to the liver but I was hoping to try something new. Anybody have good liver recipes?
