Is it rude to bring food you've cooked to a small gathering of people? It's not a party but more of a family meet up.

Is it normal to bring food as a guest?

Depends on whether the host wants you to bring something, fat retard

No, unless they're uptight people most people would appreciate it.

I'm an /r9k/ neet, I don't have any social skills. thought of bringing chicken tendies without checking with my aunt who invited us. She usually makes beef wellington, but I think everyone will appreciate if I bring tendies, right?

I meant cook food specifically for the event, not because I need to eat something, but because I want to cook for other people.

WHAT KIND OF EVENT IS IT, YOU FUCKING MORON? IS IT A DINNER PARTY? THEN IT'S PROBABLY A FUCKING RETARDED THING TO DO. IS IT A COOK OUT? THEN ASK THE HOST, AND THEY WILL PROBABLY BE THANKFUL

FUCK YOU, YOU STUPID PIECE OF NON-THINKING SHIT

casual family meet up, not a formal dinner party

I ask the host and she said it is ok, but is it still rude to do this?

It's rarely rude to do this, stop overthinking it. Just make sure not to intentionally go out of your way to cook something you know someone else is bringing or in charge of cooking at the event. No one likes faggots trying to one up people

Just bring booze you idiot.

In our family my mum will make a salad and bring some cheese and bread or something like that to supplement what the host is preparing and ease the burden on them. It's discussed beforehand, I think.
