We put Sauerkraut into basically every salad, use it as a sidedish and sometimes throw it into other dishes as well
Kebab is our most popular streetfood by far but it's hard to compare one ingredient to a dish, both are very popular I guess

National dish is probably pork roast with dumplings, cabbage (or sauerkraut) and gravy.

>Chicken tikka masala is now a true British national dish, not only because it is the most popular, but because it is a perfect illustration of the way Britain absorbs and adapts external influences. Chicken tikka is an Indian dish. The masala sauce was added to satisfy the desire of British people to have their meat served in gravy.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tikka_masala under "Popularity"
How pretentious can someone get? Do most Brits believe the gravy/butter in chicken tikka masala/butter chicken was added to better adapt to British taste? Why is it even one of their national dishes? Most of them can't even pronounce tikka correctly. Talk about virtue signaling, needless cultural shame, and self hate. Get a grip on your government, UK.

Absolutely. We're heavy on dairy here so watch out for that.
It's basically steamed/boiled dough chunks dumped into the water thru a grate of some sort. Just add salt and some oil into the water, it's done when they float on top and theyre still white and fluffy. Drain, pour in bowl, add sour creme/white yogurt and cottage cheese, salt/pepper to taste. Mix. Chop up some scallions and seared bacon, add it while serving, done.
Sometimes i pour the bacon fat to the stuff, just a small amount.

I think the reason why we use these thick casings is because you arent allowed to add any preservatives or anything else like that, so I guess thicker skins meant slightly more time before they go bad (which used to be less than a day anyways without refrigeration.

I wonder why are there people in England against inmigration, at least there would be anyone with an idea of how to cook. I don't understand how they keep living.
