I attend and put together business dinners. Have stacks of certificates for restaurants that are clients. Am busy, eat for free all over the city -- eat when I want and as often with someone as I can. Will stop by for a meal at a cozy place. No one judges me because they are not slobs. Only a slob would pay attention to trash that would even do such a thing.

Sometimes I'm lucky enough to break away and check out a city on my own. Kicking back in a garden patio with coffee and a laptop while you do whatever the fuck it is that makes you, you. I had waffles.

Most cities have exclusive clubs where for a nominal fee from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars you can walk in, brunch, and walk out without thinking about it. There are business meetings surrounding you and a variety of busy professionals or other civic leaders stopping in - by themselves - for a quick bite and coffee.

I don't know why anyone would give a fuck about stopping at a restaurant to eat by themselves if they had good reason.

Sometimes you do eat alone in restaurants out of necessity.
I travel often on business trips and being a Mediterranean, I never do quick sandwich lunches or sandwich dinner.
I pick a restaurant, I sit, order food and get served.
Nothing wrong wiht eating alone.

The closest I ever got was when I was waiting on a friend.
