I have problems overdrinking and making a complete ass of myself. I've found that smoking when I drink really mellows me out and slows down my drinking. It has to be done right when you start drinking though, smoking when I'm already shitfaced just gets me sick.

For the past few months I just start drinking heavily on my drive home from work, continue for an hour max at home, then just pass out, rinse, repeat.

Just about to have my morning whiskey, when did drinking become a fucking problem? Just drink. Not like anyone wants to be sober anyway.

Same except I like to pregame pretty heavily from a flask before leaving work so I already have a strong buzz before driving home

Find things you want more than drinking. I want to get into mountain biking and i cant save up for a good bike if i keep wasting my money on booze and weed

>> No.11478254

>>11478247
I was taught pretty thoroughly that im putting myself and others in danger by getting in a car to begin with. Im not convinced a minor increase to the chance of that stat increasing is worth not being drunk. I drive better then most people and they all claim to be sober most of the time. If anything more people die sober then drunk, so you wanna talk statistics hit me up.

You're rationalizing drink driving. Rationalizing drink driving.

Why can't we have /alc/ threads anymore? If someone makes one will it immediately get deleted? It's not just some /r9k/ hug box people can actually discuss alcohol instead of having /ck/ flooding with threads on alcohol

If you're suffering from depression, the book 'Feeling Good' by MD David Burns can help. It's about cognitive-behavioral therapy, a successful treatment for depression.

You can also try some St. John's Wort (it's a plant) tea for immediate relief, see if it works for you. I'm currently trying it out myself, no opinion yet.

No one can force you to do anything, and your insults are not going to motivate anyone. Grow up.

Yeah but it did motivate him, I understood what he was saying after I insulted him. And yeah, no one can force me to do anything but if I want to engage with these mongrels things have to be done to make it efficient. You wanna debate Hobsons choice then fine but thats another discussion.

Absolutely, way too many variables at play.

How many drinks? What kind of drinks? How much to eat in the past six hours? What kind of weed? How much are you smoking at once? What manner of smoking?

However personally I find that smoking before usually makes me drink slower. Usually.

Because drunk driving vastly reduces your reaction times and increases your risk of killing someone. I hope for everyone else's sake you wrap your car around a sturdy tree posthaste.

Drunk driving is exhilarating. Much more fun than sober driving which is totally monotonous. Once road tripped across Texas with a handle of bourbon. Still have nostalgia for that trip from what I can remember of it.

Some argument with a mod or some offensive post made them just start banning on sight without even opening the threads
I agree they were a good place to discuss the issues with alcohol but also the food element
The whiskey threads we have now are pretty much the same thing just without anons helping each other through difficult times

Try hard candies, star mints or lifesavers worked for me. Carbs from the sugar can help with those cravings, Hang in there anon.
