You need a 3/4 cup or I guess 1/2 cup (never tried the latter) of sugar in there too.

Pumpkin pie tastes like shit if it's just pumpkin, spices, evaporated milk, eggs, and a lil salt.

You're supposed to use sweetened condensed milk which already has the sugar in it, not just evaporated milk. Or I guess it doesn't really matter, but no recipe calls for evaporated milk with no sugar.
