I tried some kind of impossible burger thing and I was surprised by how decent it was. Still lacks a lot of the depth of flavor of real meat, but it's at least on-par with the dry, gray mystery-meat patties they use at Burger King or McDonalds. Not up to par with better restaurant patties, but an improvement over previous fake meats.

White castle marketing please go away.

Your food is dated and gives people diareah.

You want to reinvent your brand? How about serve meat patties that aren't paper thin.

How about sell a combo breakfast slider that has sausage and bacon so I don't have to explain it to the retarded cashier's you hire for pennies only to have them fuck it up?

How about offer additional condiments?

Mustard doesn't go bad and ketchup sells like sex.

You're product made sense when it was like 75 cents for a slider. For a buck and some change you can get fucked, much better offerings at literally whatever accross the street.

The Impossible Burger is made from simple ingredients found in nature, including wheat protein, coconut oil, potato protein, and heme. Never heard of heme? Heme is responsible for the characteristic of taste and aroma of meat. It catalyzes all the flavors when meat is cooked. Heme is exceptionally abundant in animal muscle, and it’s a basic building block of life in all organisms, including plants. We discovered how to take heme from plants and produce it using fermentation -- similar to the method that’s been used to make Belgian beer for nearly a thousand years. Adding heme to the Impossible Burger makes it a carnivore’s delight. Super tasty, super safe.

>> No.11464799

>>11464748

This. If you really crave the juicy flavor of beef, just eat beef. Chemically processed slime meat is probably way worse for the environment and your health.

>> No.11464804

>>11464799
Heme is an iron-containing molecule that occurs naturally in every single plant and animal. It’s an essential molecular building block of life. Heme gives your blood its ability to carry oxygen. It’s found in all living organisms, and it's been consumed every day—heck, every second—for hundreds of thousands of years..

Heme is super abundant in animal muscle, and that's what makes a burger so flavorful. It's also why meat is a particularly good source of iron. The heme found in animal muscle is carried by a protein called myoglobin.

Plants, particularly nitrogen-fixing plants and legumes, also have heme. The heme found in these plants is carried by leghemoglobin, which is closely related to myoglobin. Leghemoglobin in the soy plant is called soy leghemoglobin. The heme molecule in plant-based heme is atom-for-atom identical to the heme molecule found in meat. It’s what makes the Impossible Burger so rich and decadent.

Do your own research before making false claims.

Supposedly there is some dissension between the meat industry and JUST. Similar to the whole dairy phenomenon, with the dairy company trying to get alternative milk companies to take the name "milk" and "cheese" off their products, I think the meat industry is doing the same with JUST. I remember target took off all of their JUST mayo products off the shelf because the big mayo companies sent false accusations that these products were causing salmonella to the users, but really JUST was selling off the shelves like candy while the other brands weren't moving product. It all boils down to profits sadly, they don't care to better the world, and if some new company comes in that doesn't have as much power and big names to back them up, they can easily be bullied into not putting for product. It's a terrible situation really.

From what I've heard JUST is really putting forth the effort to make sure everything is good. To make sure there wont be any accidents or health issues that surface up later. This type of product can either really help push veganism or plant based diets, or it can really harm them if they don't really put forth the effort in perfecting their technique. I'd rather wait another 4-5 years letting them get it down perfectly, than them rushing it, having some serious health issues occur and giving people a perfect opportunity to try and bring down the whole vegan movement.
