The only upside of having a cockroach infestation (disgusting neighbors) is that I'm now deeply uncomfortable with anything other than a spotless kitchen. Dishes are always cleaned immediately and I even have a tupperware set aside for food scraps so none go in the garbage.

The landline phone is important for emergencies in case the power goes out mister. It's important to be prepared, I'm slowly growing my emergency stockpile day by day. I don't foresee any immediate disasters, so I just do things like buy a lighter every time I go to 7-11, and extra food at the grocery store every month to keep in my cellar and such.

However, I conclude that other pre-Celtic Caucasian visitors and settlers include the Luvians, Ghebers, Gutians, Chaldeans, Amorites, Medes, Philistines, Idumeans (Edomites), early Amenists, and the notorious Hyksos Shepherd Kings (or Shasu). We should also include the extremely ancient Shemsu Hor or Disciples of Horus, described in texts discovered at the Temple of Edfu.

Hello friend. I've returned from my bathtub to give you this message. Unfortunately, I was wrong about your age, but right about the path of a college degree sending you towards a destination of misery. Much quicker than I thought it would happen.

First about your habitation, it's mostly pattern recognition that lead me to the conclusion of college student, such as the familiar layout. I wager there is a living room just out of view of that picture. But there was some deduction in regards to the solitary dining table that is clearly unused, but it is not necessary for one to be in college to only eat in front of his computer. Anyway.

You are free mister, you have no girlfriend or anything else tying you down and hopefully now you are awake to what it is you desire, moreso than you were at the age you went to school. Go find something that makes you happy. For me, I live cheaply like you do, but I found it by renting a rundown house in a small town no one else wanted. I work short hours because I found an agreeable job that lets me pick my own hours. If I want to work seven days a week, I can, and if I want to take my weekend right now, I can do that too. I spend my leisure time working on various projects. I got a grand scheme cooking right now that I really shouldn't talk about because if it works out how I think it should, it'll be national news.

So anyway, what makes you happy? It sure isn't this career grind and futile search for companionship.

My job still makes me happy but I'm broken
I thought this career would be the thing where i make it big
Move to another state and felt like a million bucks
New job, promotions, salaries, bonuses, stock options, flying across the country
And than after my last promotion I slowly realized it all meant nothing for me anymore and I have been stuck in this depression for a year now (ever since the promotion)
With this promotion I was opened a new door higher than I ever imagined but I began to compare my life to others quickly. Everyone is either married or has a gf meanwhile I'm alone in a new state. The money isn't the problem or the career choices

Its more so me realizing how lonely i have become and I can't even clean up my own place anymore
That was only one picture, sadly my whole apartment is a mess

The authority of Matthew Arnold, Professor of Poetry in the University of Oxford, ougbt, on a subject relating to English poetry, to have great weight with the English reader; both because he is a man of great learning, especially in poetry, and is an impartial witness on this special subject of Gaelic learning. He declares that "rhyme is the most striking characteristic of our modern poetry as distinguished from that of the ancients, and a main source to our poetry of its magic charm of what we call its romantic dement; rhyme itself, all the weight of evidence tends to show, comes into our poetry from the Kelts" - ibid

Taiwan just isn't a cooking country for the most part, the majority of apartments don't have full kitchens regardless of the size. Buying take out is cheaper than buying groceries. >how much did the reno cost?

The reno was actually pretty cheap for what we did, the floor is textured vinyl interlocking planks, came in around $300, kept the old cabinets and counter-top, just repainted them, the counter-top turned out really nice with a layer of epoxy on top of the paint, I used a counter-top refinishing kit like:
https://www.amazon.com/Giani-Granite-FG-GI-SLATE-Countertop/dp/B01MTR3YJV/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1541735552&sr=8-16&keywords=countertop+refinishing+kit

The appliances are all new obviously, I bought them together in a bundle for about $3k and that was the largest expense. The sink and faucet were about $300, and the crown molding was like $100, and paint for the walls was probably another $100.

All in I probably spent less than $5k on it, none of it too difficult, hardest parts were cutting out old cabinets to fit in the dishwasher and the cabinet above the fridge to fit a taller fridge.
