I'm in the mood for shrimp tonight.

What's your favorite way of cooking them?

Boiled with caraway seeds and with cocktail sauce. Sometimes the classics are there for a reason, and I go through them like popcorn.

I like grilled with spices and basted with some butter like they do at Applebee’s. Wish I knew the exact recipe

Lots of good ways to season them but remember if you don't cook them whole shell and head intact you have ruined the meat and turned it into rubber.

I've had raw shrimp (amaebi) at a sushi restaurant. And yes, they were raw as they were stll alive when he prepped it.

Did you check your stool for worms after?

>> No.11427243

Butter milk marinated shrimp coated with salt and peppered flour. Deep fry until golden.

Also shrimp stir fried. I generally steam my shrimp instead of cook directly on the wok. When you go to finally add the shrimp your wok/pan should be hot enough to give it some color and then immediately put the sauce in and remove it from heat. I usually like using peas of any kind, onions, peppers, and topped with some spring onions or shallots.

Most important is not overcooking them regardless of style. You overcook them, you're gonna have a bad time.

Hoisen marinade
Under a broiler for 5-7 minutes
Serve

Sugars in the hoisen give it a nice char under the broiler, and they cook quick as hell to boot.

I love poaching shrimp until they're just barely cooked. Overcooked and crunchy shrimp are disgusting.

A good way to do it is pan fry the shrimp in soy sauce and shiraca, garnish with green onion, with a side of white rice.

I made that for me and the wife last night, it was a hit! The titjob she gave me after for my hard work was even better, kek.

Clarified butter. If you make your own, best if you slightly brown the milk solids before straining and using, it gives a nice nutty flavor.
