I only used one tomato to test it out, but it might be worth saving some chunks to go pulse with the fresh basil, good idea anon. Adding sea salt at the end and letting it sit allowed the mixture to congeal better. Bit of advice would be using a small clove of garlic, the test batch I made was a bit too intense.

It comes off a riff on a caprese which I had bought the ingredients for anyway. Might see how this will go with roasted eggplant.
