I was a pizza delivery driver for about 9 months my senior year of high school
It was hell. I also had to do dishes, as well as literally every single other degrading task imaginable. I had to do everything, it was absurdly hot and gross in the kitchen (I quit during the summer and a big part of it had to do with the heat), and my bosses were assholes. One time I almost crashed my car because they refused to close the shop/shut down deliveries during a massive blizzard, the delivery took me about 2 hours to make because there was no traction and I couldn't see anything, and I didn't get tipped.
The only good thing about it was the tips, I made pretty good money there. And although the bosses were terrible and were known for yelling at their employees (especially the drivers) I never got yelled at because I kept to myself and always did a really good job.
But after that I swore never to work at a pizza place again. And never ever as a dishwasher. it's a gross, demeaning job and even if you are great at it nobody there will really respect you.

Sorry to hear you're so turned away from working those jobs anon. I'm only at this job until college is over and than I'm seeking out work/volunteering for paths in my field

got hired as a server for thai restaurant, made server minimum wage, but owner/manager was literally never in.
soon, instead of running food etc, i was literally handling the entire front of house by myself during rush days. then i was paying myself, paying others, ordering/buying materials/ingredients, handling payroll and the register, opening, closing, cleaning...
i was basically running the restaurant by myself but was still making 3.50 an hour with tips, so i quit
still loved the work, and would happily do it again for more money

Right now I'm working at a library and doing wag on the side, it's heaven in comparison to that place.
The only way I would ever work for a pizza place again is if I was a driver and I knew that I would only be doing deliveries, not whatever bullshit the owners decide to throw on me on top of a million other tasks. Driving is great, you get to listen to music and do whatever you want in your car as long as you get the food there on time, which is not hard. I would even often pull over if I wanted to to text my (ex)girlfriend and stuff, get food, never got in trouble for it. Unfortunately I don't have a car here anymore so it's not really an option unless I get a bike.
I'm sure it could be a great minimum wage job at the right place, but that was the worst place I've ever worked at.

Unless you're going to school for something cooking related you should be looking for an internship or something related to you degree. I would never wash anyone's dishes but my own especially for near minimum wage. Respect yourself anon.
