I have a rooster that has come high time for the chopping block. Stupid cunt keeps spurring me and scratching up my car and I'm tired of having to get rid of his offspring anyway. Can you eat them though? Do they taste like Normal chicken or are they different? He's also pretty old too (7 years this November)

They taste different. Had a cock burger a while back. It's not bad or anything. Just not great. A bit tough.

Coq au vin is the way to go. It was invented to eat the tougher gamier meat of retired roosters. So braise it up in some slightly acidic sauce my friend. So really any acidic marinade and slow cook recipe will be good for cock meat.

Just curry it up, Indian spices have been developed to mask the most putrid of meats

You must be new or would never have made that assertion. /ck/ is an lgbt board.

Here in Kauai, these fucks are literally everywhere, but they're really tough. Not that good to eat. Only way to do it is slow cook them. Make a fucking chicken soup or something out of him.

they taste similar, but more lean and tough and darker meat, the older the animal, the tougher the meat, you need to cook it much longer than the chicken you buy in the store

if the cock is a few years old, the meat will be too tough for anything else than a stew, 7 years old is a lot, might as well just let him live that little time he has left, they live 8-10 years usually, rarely longer
