My work offers free instant ramens but we only have packaged salt and pepper which tastes like shit. What kind of spice can i make at home to make the ramen taste better? I have a base of salt and chili powder already i dont really know what to add past that tho

I would rather have it dry, and sriracha is bland alone. works better with food that already has the main eastern spices.

Look up togarashi powder might be what you want, seriously though take the free fruit that's a better value unless it's half rotten

Maruchan's like 20 cents a packet, sometimes less.

I'm betting that's what his work gives him for free.

No it fucking isn't. They're just noodles. They don't cause any harm to you unless you blame them for your failure to eat or drink anything of substance in addition to eating them.

What the fuck? That shit is worth pennies.
You don't stop eating instant ramen because someone is offering it for cheap or free, you stop eating it because its fucking terrible for you and won't give you enough calories unless you like being sick from all that salt and lack of vegetables.

Why even mention that part when it just implies you're a retard?
You're not a retard right? You know you can get ramen DIRT cheap right? You know a homeless man can buy ramen and still have money after 1 or 2 typical donations right?

Red chili flakes, dried chives, maybe experiment with cans of chicken breast, or bring an egg if your not worried about looking weird.

Too bad the fruit is ultimately worth more in a multitude of ways outside of money than the fruit is and at the very least monetarily, the two should still be treated like the ramen is worth more.
Because it is effectively. Not in the long run even, but in the short term. Not to mention, you can't actually get that money you feel like you are abstractly getting just because you're not spending dollars.

Almost any soup is perked up by a splash of lemon or lime juice. Ponzu is kind of citrusy, or a seasoned rice vinegar can sub for that. A couple drops of toasted sesame oil gives a nice nutty flavor. "Fried shallots" come in a tub mostly for like thai and Philippines cuisines, but awesome in soups, on rice, and fab on hot dogs. Sambal oelek, the red chili paste without the funky jarred garlic can be made on your own too. Growing peppers in a pot can be fun. Making your own paste from tamarind, pounded lemongrass and peppers, citrus zest, can be jarred with a bit of vinegar or oil. When I make mexican soup, I top it with chicharrones, or sliced dried chile peppers like sweet-hot ancho peppers, just pan fry in a little oil til starts to blacken, quickly remove to cool in a jar. Enjoy like crunchy chips on top of soup. French's (onions) sells crunchy poblanos in the salad toppings area in a ziploc. Kale can be baked or fried to add a bit of a flavor crunch too, but you can do things like a pinch of cole slaw shreds to the bowl when steeping your soup, some are pretty heavy on non-cabbage items like broccoli, carrots, brussels, kale. There are "tubes" of tomato paste, anchovies, basil, ginger and other herbs in some produce areas of the store now, and a pinch can enhance stock. Makoto salad dressing is mostly carrot-ginger-soy.

McCormick (looks like spice islands) and more authentic imports exist of "Seven spice blend" a japanese table condiment called shichimi. It could be made from scratch and blended yourself, but I wouldn't bother due to the kelp ingredient, though you could shred your own, it's hygroscopic. Just buy a blend to try it.
