Here's how you croque.

White bread layer on dijon, paris ham, and top with bechamel sauce and shredded emmenthal cheese. set on a tray lined in foil or parchment paper. Now make another one and lay it beside the first.

Broil them until the cheese is browned and bubbly.

To serve stack them once slightly cooled.
