the school lunches that came in the rectangle structures were great for the most part, the breaded chicken sammich was better than the McChicken and honestly any chicken sammich I've ever had, but you had to get some ranch to go on it.

salisbury steak was seasoned ground meat, like a burger, yes, but more like a mini meatloaf, not to be confused with swiss steak, which is pounded, floured, and braised in the gravy thing.
You probably liked it because it was properly seasoned, a good dose of pork is added to the beef, lots of salt and pepper, minced onion or onion powder and kind of a mini meatloaf but deceptively hidden in the beef, superfine.

If you want a decent version, visit The Piccadilly cafeteria chain, it'll be on the blue plate special daily.

This sounds like the reason why these things have never come out right before, I never would have thought to add some pork, I only did onion powder in addition to some salt, pepper, and some diced carrots. I will give all that try, it's making my tongue sweaty reading it.
