What are the patrician items from this store?

This likely only applies to Australia, but has anyone else noticed that the packaging for their marinated feta is always fucked? (the one in the plastic container with the black screw top). It looks great, but I never buy it because of oily shit reliably leaking out of every container and God knows what crusted around the lids

In Australia, they're good for staples of any kind and selected European imports. They have some great European chocolate.

Their bargain bin hardware/weird stuff is usually shit but occasionally they have something interesting. I got some great cycling and skiing gear but it was only by looking at their stuff every week and literally choosing the one or two things that weren't shit.

There's not much to say. They're usually opened in middle class neighborhoods that are on the decline. They're a good place to buy staple items for cheap, but they lack the selection that Americans tend to enjoy. I go there to buy flour, sugar, and a few canned items. I've been in a few in Australia and they were about the same.

For the USA:
Lidl tends to look nicer and attract more white people when compared to Aldi. It's also a bit cleaner looking, and there's a different selection of foods (more greek stuff- lots of feta cheese, frozen yogurt etc). I haven't paid too much attention to the price point difference, but I might come back later in the week with some comparisons.

I don't mind Aldi milk But i make sure to go later in the day to get it. Aldi is good about product rotation so they will always have the items that go out of date in front so the best way to get the fresher stuff is to go later in the day after they have had to rotate the empty carts out.

Aldi is fine but there are just literally better stores everywhere. I'm always closer to a Krogers or an HEB here in Texas so theres just zero reason for me to shop there. Even when trying to save money it's not really worth the drop in quality from my local HEB. Plus as with most businesses here I'd rather support something that at least has its headquarters in my state. Aldi is fine if it's more convenient for you but there are just better options which I suspect dont cost as much more as they would in Germany.

In the US ALdi's tends to buy a lot of their stuff as excess from other producers I think, so their fresh food either goes bad really fast or is of poor quality compared to other stores.

They're dirt cheap, and they skimp on employees, so if shitty customers make a mess it takes a long time to get cleaned up/fixed.

Also what >>11332559 this poster said- They have a reputation because some Aldis are run like fucking dogshit.(There's one at the corner down the street from me and it's ghetto as shit, where you can get fucked over buying meat or produce since it's kept improperly. It's fine for boxed goods and staples though).

I tend to go to Aldi's for all my basic and boxed stuff(things that can't go bad), their chicken(it's usually fine), and then go to other places for produce/good meat.
