Do Americans really put butter in their coffee?

Its something to do with ketofags

>> No.11326834

I do, it's life changing. It provides so much energy and keeps you feeling full all day

It tastes like cream, only better. Use unsalted butter though.

I don't even put milk or sugar in my coffee. I'll have my coffee black, with a granola bar.

>> No.11327383

Its fucking foul

>> No.11327404

>>11326821
no, this isn't something that normal, well adjusted people do. I have only ever even heard of someone doing this because they ran out of milk, and were desperate.

>> No.11327408

No, americans aren't savages so we drink green tea, sometimes with a little honey if we're feeling wild

>> No.11327409

>>11326821
No but I recommend they start

>> No.11327411

The first time I tried it, it was surprisingly nice. The second time I tried it, it was revolting. I haven't trjed it since.

I've heard it's supposed to regulate the release of caffeine into your system over a long period. It sounds like broscience, though.

You must have autism. Nobody on planet fucking earth resorts to using butter when they intended to use milk. It's not like that. This is something you go out of your way to have, usually dietary reasons. Nobody says "aye fuck it pal put a fucking sandwich ingredient in ma tea." when they run out of milk.

Yes, we put butter in/on everything. Food lubricant.

It's super rare but it is a thing. I would like to try it at some point. Sounds interesting

Yeah, making it bulletproof is the only way to make it through the day.

It's sort of a fad started by a low carb diet guru, Dave Asprey. People on keto do it, since they use fat as their energy fuel. I don't totally get the point since whipping cream has virtually no carbs (in the amount you would add to coffee anyway) and tastes better in coffee.

Mix it with hot coffee in blender. This will make it thick and create nice thick foam.
Dropping a chunk of butter into coffee will just create a layer of fat blob on top of it.

Some people claim it is healthy. I still do not understand how butter suddenly becomes healthy if you put it into coffee.

Bulletproof coffee wasn't originally pushed to ketofags which is mostly where it started from. The guy exaggerated the benefits of using butter and coconut oil in coffee, even though just making coffee with milk/cream is pretty much the same thing. Or just having it with food instead of on an empty stomach.

Smart people do, because they understand that it's going to taste similar to milk once it melts down. And it does, unless of course the butter has been left exposed for a while in which case it will have absorbed contaminants from the surrounding atmosphere.
