Try making smalec than, instead of schmalz, mój przyjacielu.
Recepie is simple:
Try to find some pork fat/bacon that has some layers of meat in it. If you can only find clear fat one, get some propper bacon to, like 1/3 of the fat.
Slice it to tiny bits, like, 7mm cubes. Some like bigger, like strips. Put it on minimal fire, like really, the smallest one, and stir it often with wooden spoon or the bottom ones will get burned. It will take a long while, up to an hour, you can stir it less often when some fat is already liquid. Add the sliced bacon when some of the lard is already liquified, or instead of tasty greaves you'll end up with black coal cubes.
This is also why you must take the pot of the fire before all the fat has melted - the process will still continue for a while so you must put it in a cool place, on a balcony or something.
After you turn off the heat and before you take it to dead nigger storage, add some majoram. Add it earlier and it will burn down.

Some like to add sliced onion in the end, or even apple, I preffer to add raw onions or garlic. Your choice. Have fun and don't pour it on your feet when walking with hot oil.
