I went to Shima steakhouse in Japan and had the real version. It was delicious, but the actual steak dish was better because the sauce on the sandwich was just a little too tart for my taste. BTW you don't have to pay for the sandwich separately, they make it with leftovers of your steak if you have some. They say it's better cold the day after, but I had part of it warm just after they made it and it tasted better that way in my opinion. Overall I'd rate the restaurant 9/10 best steak I've ever had and probably will ever have, but the staff are slightly rude.
