questions that dont deserve their own thread thread

what kind of peppers are these?

Looks like serrano to me.

What do they taste like? That should be the best indicator as to what they are, and more importantly how to use them.

oh, shit, i forgot to say, i bought them at an asian market, if that makes a difference. sounds like a good guess to me though. i ate a smaller one raw. usual green pepper flavor, moderately hot, definitely hotter than jalapeno, made my nose run, burned for a few minutes. thanks

There's a Korean chili which I don't know the name of that is similar to a serrano but they're a little bigger. Looking at your pic again that seems like a more likely match, those are a bit big for Serranos. My local Asian market calls them "Korean Hot". That said, they're basically the same flavor as as serrano or what you described: hotter than a Jalapeno, not as hot as habaneros, but no distinctive taste other than that of a green pepper.

I like my puzza with garlic. When and how should I add it? I just chop it and mix it into the sauce raw and let it cook along with the sauce before adding the mozzarella.

I don't cook my pizza sauce, just crush the tomatoes and sprinkle chopped garlic on after I spread the sauce on the pizza. That's when I add my oregano and rosemary as well.

I meant that I add the tomato on the dough and send it into the oven, not that I pre-cook it by itself.

The Korean name for this is 'gochu' (고추)

This word is also childish slang for penis

>> No.11290059

Gochu just means pepper though. What kind of gochu?

Korea doesn't have a bunch of varietals of hot peppers, there's basically just the one so that's what the word refers to. If you mean something else, then you specify otherwise

Other guys are right; those are Korean peppers. Oftentimes eaten raw with meats.

What would you call the sauce made in this video? I tried it but it looked better than it tasted.
