The difference is that shows like "Gourmet Makes" and "It's Alive" are what differentiates the channel from the other billion cooking channels on YouTube. They are videos that even if you don't cook, they are interesting.

Claire ends up being more popular because her show is way more appealing than a typical cooking video.
