Most of the vegan cheese isnt perfected yet. Mioykos butter is, and the vegan paramsean is actually DAMN close to the real thing, same with the mozorella but the cheese slices arent really close. THey have a good unique flavor but its not like cheese.

Right now Im eating spaghetti with red sauce I made in the crockpot with roasted red pepper and tomato sauce. I go shopping every 2-3 days though I dont fill my fridge with frozen crap that lasts forever because I cant cook.

You guys have fun in 2050 though, when most of you are vegans because of availability, not because of choice. =)

So, for some reason, the slightly crazy and freakish girls that I tended to date were often vegans. Some hard-core, some not. I didn't give up meat but I wouldn't eat it when I was out on a date with them or cooking for them, they could live with that generally.
This means that I've tried a *lot* of vegan cheeses, looking for stuff so I could make vegan pizza and various comfort food that would aid in wooing girls. I bought at least one of every vegan cheese I ever saw and tested it out for pizzas, cheese platters etc, all the dishes that might feature on a date night.

What I found is this:
Most bad vegan cheese is basically whipped vegetable oil, some mozzarella substitutes tended to work ok but taste terrible with one single exception which the same ingredients as other vegetable oil based 'cheese' so I don't know how they did it but it tasted good, however it melted very poorly and tended to remain solid no matter what. Grated and distributed over a pizza just kind of made slightly blobby shreds of cheese though it tasted ok and was a panty dropper but not a fantastic pizza unless you hadn't had a good pizza since you went vegan, then it was pretty good.

Some cheese dips could be very good, these are likely to be nut based though some were vegetable oil based, either way they tended to be ok, easy to add flavours I guess.

There are nut based cheeses which generally use cashews to make a brie/camembert style cheese, they could be pretty damn good. Blue-vein cheese also tended to be good though the mould flavour would overpower the cheese which is probably why it tasted good.
