Vinegar, ketchup, or cheese sauce with your fries?

NO SUBSTITUTIONS

>> No.11217235

Out of the three, ketchup. But really you don't need anything other than a bit of salt if you've got some some good chips tbqhfam.

man we British love it. You go to a chippy the question they ask is "do you want salt and vinegar?". Not ketchup, mayo, or anything else. Salt and vinegar chippy chips are Godtier.

Although I think I just found out we have malt vinegar. I don't know the difference. ..

this.

I never heard of eating fries with vinegar...

Is there some special vinegar based fries-sauce or do you just use plain vinegar? I can't imagine that vinegar improves the taste of fries in any way... please explain.

It's usually malt vinegar, made from malted barley. A staple at English fish and chip shops. It's tangy, just like ketchup is. (In case you didn't know, ketchup contains a lot of vinegar and that is its primary flavor)

Never heard of Mornay before anon?
