With the pretty ridiculous amount of money afforded to us by congress, not all of it goes into hardware and weapons, but into also heavily improving quality of life, especially for Air Force and Navy bases.

For example, Air Force bases where I live have one person to a dorm. I guess you could call them barracks, and I'm sure they were called that before, but the Air Force at large calls them dorms. Having one whole room, bathroom and kitchen*ette* to one person until they reach, what, 3 years in service (or get married) certainly beats what the nearby Marine camps have, which is a norm of 2-4 Marines per room.

Anyways, the example above is the best example of my point.

But for food related examples, going to a chow hall every day to be made a Denny's quality omelette to order and some cereal and milk for breakfast, a club sandwich to order for lunch, and a (well done) salty NY strip steak for dinner isn't that bad. Or just eat cereal any meal of the day, can't really go wrong there.

And of course there's on base fast food n shit. At least at mine, a larger base, there's Subway (2 of them), Popeyes (2), BK (2), Arbys, Charlies, Starbucks, a few pizza places, and some other shit.

Not to mention, if your work isn't anal retentive, going off base for food is always an option. Sometimes in a foreign country. Go off base in Korea and get some dank Bibimbap, or Curry Rice in Japan, full english in Bongland.

It just depends on the base, the branch, etc. We get treated well enough.
