Otherwise

Smoked trout salad
By the way I hate this menu.

Hipter retaraunt that survives by marketing to wealthy areas and likely touts their head chef by name / 10

That's not quite winning is it? Besides every smaller hipster fancy restaurant linked this is nominated for some award.

>> No.11200562

The soft pretzel with smoked sea salt & shallot creme and the roast beef with cheddar, roasted cherry tomatoes and horseradish. Shit is way too expensive though.

First time I've heard of it so I'm guessing not really that important outside of Industry or to the consumer like me.

just out of curiosity though I did look up nominations although they do divide by regions there were ~60 some nominations for Best chef. Five nominations total for the entire Midwest region, that by itself is pretty cool assuming the award is not just that pay to play kind of thing.

Karen Bell the owner was nominated.

James Beard is a fucking asterisk at best

What a pretentious menu. I'd order one of the sandwiches since at least most of their ingredients are laid out in English.

what the fuck is this shit? bratwurst is spiced very mildly, why the fuck would they shove in so many strong flavors like garlic, basil, a strong pickle, and then salty aged cheese?

Depends on whether or not I'm being treated. If I'm paying for myself I'll order differently because I can't afford much.

>paying for myself
The deviled eggs and one of the salads with protein.
>being treated
Soft pretzel, octopus plate, kale soup, and whichever dessert the one treating me wants. All of which I'll discuss with the one treating me before ordering because I want to mention I plan to share everything with the one treating me.

Gentlemen and scholars.

First, an appetizer of something normal, so some Bread and Spread. I'd try something Raw for the experience, and maybe a liquid dessert for the experience if I had the money. But a backup dessert of flourless cake for the bragging rights of experience as well. Id slam some smmiches next time around if I were with someone who wasn't into this whole scene, or I knew I'd even be coming back in the first place.
