What Deep Fryer should I buy?

>> No.11176811

>>11176789
If you cook enough fried food to need one then you are probably a fat fuck and should kys.

>> No.11176870

>>11176789
I would rather buy out if I had to have something deep fried and forgo having the smell, oil droplets everywhere, maintenance of fryer, etc.

>> No.11177507

Just get a pot/splatterguard and a frying thermometer. I have a 1gallon jug of peanut oil kept in the pantry that i filter and pour back in the jug. Last thing I need is another counter appliance.

DeLonghi makes good deep fryers for home. But, you probably shouldn't be deep frying, fattie.

How do you dispose fry oil?

But I dont cook enough fried food to need a deep frier... because I don't have a deep fryer.

its easy just dump it down the sink

A dutch oven and a thermometer.

>> No.11178484

you should have a cast iron dutch oven for frying

>> No.11178486

Whenever you buy new fryer oil refil the container it came in with the old oil. Either throw it in the trash or leave it for recycling depending on what your local area does. Keep in mind that the oil can be reused many times before needing replacement.

>> No.11178502

I've had a deep fryer and honestly it's not better than just using a pot and basket. And they're pretty big, so I just wouldn't bother.

lodge cast iron with a thermoworks chefalarm probe. The cast iron will be cheaper than a shitty electric fryer; just keep it dedicated to frying so you can reuse the oil 3 or 4 times.

just dump it in the yard

flush it all down the toilet to improve the quality of your local chinese's gutter oil

Faggot, any deep sauce pan + oil = deep fryer.

If you can't figure that out, you already lose.

In America, old disgusting grease is considered a delicacy. Take for example this 100 year old disgusting pile of grease that Dyer's still uses to make their hamburgers.

Strain oil of solid food particles for reuse. Dispose of it into the garden because olive oil is probably a good nutrient for plants.

The local landfill has a recycling container for used cooking oil.

>> No.11181535

>>11179815
The problem with that solution is that it is down to the cook to maintain the proper temperature, which is hard when you aren't using a thermometer. A deep fryer solves that problem because it contains a thermostat.

If you can't figure that out you already lose.

That's how oil fires start.

>> No.11182535

Get an air fryer instead, since it lowers the amount of fat and you don't need to use oil.

buy a cast iron combo cooker and a basket sieve.

using the dutch-oven bottom to fill with oil.
it is fucking amazing and multipurpose, and works exceptionally well in this capacity

idk, but my experience with the cheap ones with only one setting is that run a bit cold to minimize splatter so everything is soggy.

You really shouldn't be eating more fried food than you do while out. It's hazardous to your health.

>> No.11182691

>>11178473
That isn't too bad to do at home if you're running *cold* water the whole time. Hot water can make it congeal on the pipe walls further down where it can cause blockage for others instead of just you. It's better to make it solid right away so it flows through like poop instead of sticking.

A carbon steel wok is all you need for anything.

Just use a big pot over a burner with a spider and tongs.

>>11177885
Put it in a plastic container in the trash. Not safe to put it in the sink. I reuse deep fry oil a lot too.
