thighs have more fat while breasts are lean
so if you took a breast and cut it up into pieces, did the same with a thigh, a breast would have more meat per pound than the thigh

Fat is meat. Unless you're talking about cartridge, bones, or silver skin, you're the stupid one. Even if you for some reason removed the skin and fat from thighs, they'd still taste much better than fucking breasts.

Just like in humans and anime girls, the thighs happen to be the best

>> No.11154744

the reason they are so cheap is because
1. 30% of the weight is bone
2. you're stuck with a bunch of chicken part you may not necessarily prefer
3. it's harder to cook, by which I mean, no matter the size of your oven, you probably can't cook more than 2 at a time
Where as if you buy a 12 or 20 pack of thighs, you get all the cuts you want and none of the cuts you don't want
you also don't have to worry about cooking them all at once because of their size
and even if you did trim down two chickens into all of the parts, it's still not really all that worth it because you still have a bunch of stuff you might not want to eat

Literally the only reason to buy a whole chicken instead of individual parts is if you plan on serving whole chicken and saving the bones for broth
There are no real advantages to whole chicken over precut pieces

Where I live a whole chicken is cheaper than a pack of 2 breasts or a pack of 4 thighs. 1 is a non issue, 2 only matters if you're stupidly picky, 3 is outright false, a standard oven can easily fit 4 if you're not retarded.

Yeah but chicken meat in general is already super mellow so most recipes involve dressing it up significantly. When I make chicken I generally either marinade over night or crockpot it while at work so regardless of if I use breast or thigh it'll taste more like whatever I've seasoned it with. I prefer breast simply because I like the texture a little more, but I'd be just as happy with thigh meat.

I just drizzle oil on the breast before cooking. It comes out just as tasty as a thigh and is a bit cheaper.
