Virtually EVERYTHING has been claimed to be bad for you, at one time or another, and all the experts eventually get de-bunked.
What's happening is that the experts need controversy in order for them to make a living, get famous, make a name for themselves, form a brand. Then they will try and sell you shit that you don't need. Over and over again. And the slow and the stupid fall for it, over and over again.

There are number of low-carb retards who are famous in nutrition circles for hating potatoes.

Number one among them is David Ludwig, a turbo-Jew from Harvard who scams fat people by telling them that they didn't get fat from eating like shit, but because of the magical insulin fairy. He also constantly positions potatoes as unhealthy and a contributor to health problems in the United States with no regard for the fact that Americans eat almost zero boiled potatoes.

Primary "argument" is "glycemic index" which is a pseudoscience scam where a certain group of scientists operates an international cartel of laboratories that performs GI measurements and then release unreproducible studies saying that GI is important and governments should force manufacturers to test every single food.

My point is all the processes that require fat are slow and gradual. Body fat stores are more than enough to handle the fat requirments of the body. One doesn't need to eat fat constantly to have a healthy body. But one does need to eat carbs constantly to be healthy, because glucose is extremely useful. It's because "expert" is a buzzword now for somebody who writes for a "news" page who wants to garner attention from readers. It's usually a hippie who shops at whole foods and therefore automatically thinks she's smarter than you.

It's still 1000% better than meat for your kidneys, on average.

Could it be that fried potatoes were lumped in with steamed and baked? Or that they're often eaten with worse stuff?

I can't be eating sweet potatoes all the time because their shelf life is so short. They often go from good to nasty tasting brown under the skin within a couple weeks or less.

Aluminum oxide, which evenly coats Aluminum foil, makes up a significant portion of the earth's crust/surface. People are adapted to eat trace amounts of it, without issue. Metallic aluminum is pretty inert in the digestive system, especially since it immediately forms an oxide coat.

I would be much more worried about the systemic lead pollution which occurs near every major motorway.

>the highest satiety food out there
What's it like to just say things that are factually wrong and ACTUALLY believe yourself?
>plain potatoes are a top tier food in terms of filling you up for very little calories
You're actually retarded. There isn't a unit measure for satiety but it's WIDELY accepted that protein, then fat, then fiber, are the most satiating macronutrients. A potato has none of these things. A potato is literally the least satiating thing that I can think of, next to fucking white rice and bread.

Let's compare 100g potato, 100g prepared oatmeal, and 100g chicken breast.
Potato: 77kcal, 0 fat, 2g protein, 2g fiber, 15g net carb
Oatmeal: 68kcal, 2g fat, 3g protein, 2g fiber, 10g net carb
Oatmeal is lower calorie and has more protein, more fat, and less carbs than a potato. Oatmeal won't necessarily be more satiating though, as it's still just starch.
Chicken breast: 165kcal, 4g fat, 31g protein, no fiber or carbs at all
Wow, just double the calories and you can get exponentially more protein AND lose all the extra starch and sugar. Go chicken.
How about 100g brussels sprouts?
43kcal, 0 fat, 3g protein, 4g fiber, 5g net carb
About half the calories of your potatoes with double the good macros and a fraction of as many carbs, and they're not easily absorbed starchy carbs either.

Grow a brain. At least buy one. You're embarrassing us all.

not trolling at all. Think about it for a second. Something that is less calorie dense will fill up the stomach faster, and stop a human from eating more, long enough for the body to signal it is full, so one does not eat too many calories

With a fatty meal, The body can fit a lot more calories in the stomach before there is a signal to stop eating. Fatty meals lead to obesity.

Balanced diets are bull shit. Everyone should be loading up on starch and skimping on fa as much as possible.

I also have daily scoop of whey powder and a vitamin pill. Without the whey powder this diet doesn't work. I'd have to eat a lot more meat, which is something I'd rather not do. Whey is much more convenient. It keeps my heart muscle strong which keeps me energized.

>> No.11155962

>>11155823
Starch gets converted into sugar by amylase. This process already starts in your mouth. Sugar dissolves and is rapidly absorbed by any mucous membrane. It leaves your digestive tract faster than any other nutrient.

What fills you up are insoluble fibres, fats, and proteins. When fats enter your intestine, they trigger a hormonal response that tells you you're full. For normal people, it's hormones like leptin that tell them they're full, not eating until they feel bloated. Protein gives an een stronger satiety response than fat.

>It leaves your digestive tract faster than any other nutrient.

This makes it satiating, by the way. If it is rapidly entering the body, then the full signal will trigger faster. It still takes around 5 hours to digest a piece of bread, regardless.
Fat digestion is more time consuming, so people can gorge themselves on fat before their body tells them to stop eating.

all food triggers hormones.

>> No.11156433
