The thing with popeyes and most chicken only places is that chicken is made in house. If you were to go to like 10 different popeyes odds are the chicken will be different, some will have better breading and some will have better ratio of heat to spice.

Fast food service is generally great where I'm from. Clean stores, friendly kids working the register and fast service. But popeyes and hardees are the exception to this. They're slow, impersonal and the place smells like an ocean city bathroom.

If a chicken joint staffed by black people doesn't serve good food, blame the shitty quality on upper management and not the employees themselves.

I finally tried it for the first time about two months ago after one opened up a few towns over from me (I'm in small town Canada). Got the popcorn shrimp with the mac and cheese. It was pretty good. Went again last week and got the spicy tendies which were excellent; could've been a bit spicier, honestly, but I was still pleased. A bit pricier than KFC is but it's worth it. I still like the former though as I love their macaroni salad and their fries are solid. Kebabs own it and the entire staff were kebabs both times I went in but they were very good to deal with (which is surprising since 75% of the time they're shit at other places).

I work in a place that actually has 70% black cooks. Strangely, it's a Korean spot. In LA. And it's slammed often. While niggers can be degenerates, they are fucking great cooks. When they show up to work. That's the big one.

They have fried crawdads which are actually pretty good, but only regional. When I visited Washington state, they didn't have any. Other than that, the chicken and biscuits are greasy and the mashed potatoes are so-so.
