Pointless? Idk, but fresh picked sweet corn, briefly steamed or grilled so the kernels arent mushy but explode little bursts of sweet corn juice when you bite it is fantastic. Having said that, sweet corn is one of those vegetables that loses flavor and nutrition very rapidly after picking, so that may be your issue.

Just snip a bit of the fuzzy top off, put em on a pan in a 400 or so oven. Cook around 15 minutes/once the husk is getting brown in parts and you smell corn. Wait a couple minutes to shuck, it’ll be hot.
The important thing is getting the fresh corn. Boiling will work fine, but in the husk is my favorite method. You can do this in an outdoor grill too.

As a vegetable I don't really see much worth. If you like it on it's own, hot with butter or something, alright. But attempting to incorporate it as a vegetable is always a sorry experience. It doesn't make anything better, just adds (in my opinion) unsightly yellow chunks that are often harder to break down than the food surrounding it. So it doesn't really fit in.

Corn products on the other hand are often quite good or useful. Polenta in its various forms, cornflour, and I'm sure some others are very practical and have a variety of uses where they fit just nicely.

>As if you could tell a difference

I agree with you that a lot of products are just overpriced bullshit for morons, but that statement is a load of shit. The difference in taste between grass-fed, grain-fed, and corn-fed is huge. An animal's diet has a massive effect on the flavor of its meat (and dairy products). Whether or not you even like the difference in taste is subjective. So is the question as to whether or not you think it's worth paying more for. But to claim the difference doesn't exist is fucking idiotic. though the difference has nothing to do with US vs EU vs other countries, they all have both cheap factory farmed meat as well as expensive heritage meat. Here in the US I could go to walmart if I wanted cheap shit or I could go to the butcher across the street and get local grass-fed beef.

Yes there is a difference in grass fed and grain fed, but guess what? All countries raise grass fed and grain fed beef, I was replying to a poster that said all American beef tastes like shit, but guess what? Most American beef, just like most beef in the rest of the world, is raised in a pasture, then finished off with grain. You can get grass fed beef in America as well, it's like some people think that the US is the only place that has grain fed beef which is moronic.

Everyone is suddenly an expert rancher in this day and age. A purely "grass fed" cow would fucking starve. Modern hayfeed is all sorts of different legumes, grasses, and herbaceous plants. Adding grains as a supplement is perfectly healthy. Believe it or not, most herbivores eat very balanced diets by human standards. Young spinach is too tender raw, and doesn't cook well because it reduces to almost nothing. It doesn't have a satisfying crunch.

Mature spinach leaves are too tough to eat raw or on a salad. They're on par with mustard greens or even kale. Seeing as nobody cooks lettuce, you're retarded for seeing spinach as a substitute. what's wrong with filler for texture? The "it's mostly water!" meme applies somewhat, but there's still enough fiber and such to make it worth eating from a health standpoint.

Also, don't eat spinach daily. It has very high oxalic acid levels, which can contribute to a certain kind of kidney stone, especially if you're genetically more likely to have them. Spinach is basically as bad as lettuce nutritionally when you consider 99% of its calcium is not bioavailable.
