Spiciness is degenerate, spiciness is anti-white. I don't mean to say that in any trivial way. In what it represents, spiciness is degenerate. What it means to spice up your food is to cause yourself agitation. To agitate your tongue. To cause you pain. To cause you a sensation, this new sensation, you might start shifting in your chair like "aah! that's hot!"

Here's the thing about spice, once you go from spicing food to making food spicy you've crossed into the realm of degeneracy. You're gonna be welcomed by Arab sheikhs and fucking la cucaracha dances. I don't mean this as a joke. If spicy food is something you enjoy then it's a sign of a degenerated spirit.

And it's these mud races that are so obsessed with spicy food, they're obsessed with agitation. They live in these climates where it's just sand, blowing in the wind. Or they might live in a muddy tropical forest where it's all gooey and slop-slop everywhere; it's constantly changing. But in the far North, what do we have? We have ice. There we have a true symbol. A way to orient ourselves, I suppose you'd say.

Spice is really a symbol of total decadence. If you enjoy causing pain to yourself, why is that? It's a thirst for total agitation that these lowers races are so much more... It's so much more sensual than the Hyperborean race. And it's not a plus. Hyperboreans have the true strength. Ice is strong. Sand you can just throw it to the wind, or you know... Disgusting... you can step on some mud, throw it away. You cn disperse it easily. But you have to smash ice.

So don't eat spicy food from a fucking salsa bowl, drink from the cool ice of your hyperborean ancestors.

only replying because bumped and OP spent a long time typing out this long racist post.
but its been proven that the reaction your body has to spices is an allergic reaction and you feel those sensations from spice to inform your body of toxins. That being said, most seasonings used to spice food are ground versions of the initial product. For example, you don't knaw on a salt block or peppercorn, you use ground salt/ground pepper in moderation. Additionally, these small amounts can help one to build a spice tolerance so that your body does not experience the discomforts of the allergic reaction so you can just enjoy the flavor of the ingredient.

Spices are originally used for their medicinal properties (ginger, cinnamon, garlic) and then used by cultures as a way to preserve foods when they did not have access to fresh ingredients (ex. salted meats) Cultures began trading spices as early as ancient times, which helped humans gain control over the concept of excess food supply, eliminating the need for daily hunting and harvesting. Spices have helped the advancement of society tremendously.

and then as people built up a tolerance to spices. spice was used as a condiment to mask the unpleasant flavor of poor quality meats and vegetables.

How low does one's IQ need to be for this to sound like a real point? Genuinely curious.

You're talking out of your ass. Some spices contain chemicals that trigger the vanilloid receptor TRPV1, which happens to be a heat detecting neuron. This results in the feeling of burning heat associated with some spices. Mint and some other herbs and spices activate the TRPM8 sensor, which is a cold sensor. That's why 5 Gum makes your mouth feel painfully cold. Both of these receptors can be desensitized via the process of tachyphylaxis, through repeated exposure.

What this means is you can reduce your sensitivity to capsaicin by eating lots of spicy food. Something OP might find unbearably hot may just taste peasantly warm to someone accustomed to spicy food.

Far from degenerate, the palette of these peoples has been tempered in the fires of adversity and as a result they can truely appreciate the complexity of well spiced food. If that's not patrician I don't know what is.

This pseudohistorical meme should die out along with the people who propagate it. Only the upper classes could afford to use spices in significant quantities; if you were rich enough to have your body embalmed with spices; fresh meat and ingredients were well within your means.

It does get pretty annoying. I wonder if it's mainly from people who don't know how to actually use them properly and use too much, then say spices just cover up the taste of food.

>> No.11007174

the culture that has the least spices in their food are Ecuadoreans
potatoes, rice, & boiled chicken for almuerzas. locro de papa, famous soup- cheese & potatoes. empanadas 2 for a $1- zero spices.
now, some cities are more modern. Cuenca, for example, is an old, tired city, with relentlessly traditional thinking. even the foreign food restaurants lack the normal amount of spices. Banos is better, they've been a tourist spot for a while, so they make more varied stuff.
we were at a restaurant in banos where a cool waiter explained that he was the only guy there who could taste the food with jalapeños in it, everybody else was too scared

Gimme gimme varky cummies
Be they spicy or very nummies.
Spend my hard-earned good-hubby points,
on hipster Portland hot sauce joints.
Wifey's bull lifts me to the car,
To find me varkies near and far.
Enjoy my tasty varky treats,
in comfy Prius heated seats.
Drunk Jerk, Black Bean, Mayo, Hab,
But of my varkies none I have.

She always makes me prep our bull,
But prepping doesn't make me full.
Varkies are the only food,
That puts me in the fapping mood.
I'll dream and doubt but make no fuss,
I'll wish, I'll want, but I won't cuss!
Varkies are my heart's desire,
Fueled by burning, hungry fire.
Wifey cums and wails real hard,
But Tyrone's cum isn't 'vark nor Aard'.

My good-hubby points were fairly earned,
To buy the varkies that I've yearned.
But there's no varkies on my plate!
Did wifey think that I'd just ate?
"VARKIES, VARKIES I NEED THEM NOW,
IT IS VARKIES I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT!"
I cry while looking into her eyes,
While Tyrone hits me to no surprise.
For he who is un-varked is he who understands:
Never forget to shine his new Air Jordans
