Its actually not that sugary, there is a lot of bitterness to it from the savoury body of the stout, the sweetness is only a slight aftertaste. Idiots see bright colors on the packaging and go spastic thinking it's corn syrup or some shit, when it reality it's a popular and well brewed imperial stout.

Pic related is also delicious.

I realized I got older and matured after reading these posts. I was a hard beer snob for a good 5 years. Wouldn't touch past, Budweiser, hefeweisens, detested pretentious ipas and only sought out rare Belgians, sours, stouts and porters. Good red ales too. But after having so many different beers, you grow tired of giving a shit. You remember a few solid ones that you return too, but mostly just go for what's refreshing or fits the mood. Listening to you man children bicker over definitions, personal tastes and sweetness or soy is HYSTERICAL.

Thanks to those of you that posted those sweet stouts in the beginning. Never heard of them. Will give them a shot if o find one. Cheers kids

Not him, but Allagash Tripel is one of my all-time favorites. Very spicy and deep, but alarmingly drinkable.
Chimay White is great as well. Anything Trappist is (literal) God-tier, though most of them are quads I'm sure a few others have tripels or doubles.

If there's a Trader Joe's near you their store-brand ales are surprisingly good, and are quite cheap if you want to try a bunch.
