That water you're drinking? A fish was swimming in that at some point. Water is not vegan.

It is vegan unless it was collected unethically (e.g. if for some reason someone held the bird captive just to collect water that had dripped off its back)
A baby drinking its mothers milk is also vegan (unless for some reason the mom is being forced)

I don't think it's enough that the cows don't know it. I mean if you have sex with a sleeping girl and she doesn't know it, it's still rape. I think you would have to get the cow to voluntarily express its consent somehow.

I realize this whole post makes me sound like a fag so let me stress that I'm just explaining my own understanding of veganism. I hate vegans and they're all fags and I eat meat.

I think vegans mostly worry about the more immediate causes of animal suffering rather than the more indirect ways we fuck over the environment. If they're not directly killing animals but instead creating conditions under which there will inevitably be animal suffering, they feel better about it somehow.

Unless we come up with a way to communicate with cows.

For example if Koko the gorilla was lactating and a scientist asked Koko in sign language for some milk, and Koko said yes, that would be vegan.

>> No.10951114

Seriously. My expectations were low. I mean, $4 for a handful of asparagus and rice wrapped in seaweed with soy sauce and wasabi.
>>10951037
>These organisms are all fine to consume. The reasoning behind this is that these things lack nervous systems and thus are almost certainly not sentient (the ability to suffer or experience pain) in any way. They're pretty much in the same league as plants really. One concern to look out for though, is where the lactobaccillus cultures come from. These are sometimes grown using blood or cow's milk, which is obviously not vegan.
>>10951071
One is an easy way to reduce damage. Other is significantly more difficult. Veganism isn't all-or-nothing. It's about mitigation.

I'm a psychology major and this is verbatim what a sociopath like John Wayne Gacy would say. No empathy, no emotion. Just dead eyes hiding a cold, calculated evil.
