I don't have a lot of money for the week and the only meat left in the fridge are these things, what are some good ways to make cheap hot-dogs taste better?

Butterfly them, and get them crispy all over. Toast your buns in garlic butter.

Consider a BBQ dog: butterfly, panfry, glaze them with BBQ sauce before leaving your pan, top with cheddar and onions, maybe pickles or slaw.

homemade beenie weenie. Slice hot dogs, brown with optional chopped onions, and add canned beans til reduced. Can even serve over toast, optionally.
