My office is basically my backpack nowadays, so I've just been making a big breakfast and bringing snacks with me for the day. Shitting out money to eat out on a daily basis is pretty dumb, my friend.

Why go out and waste time and money on lunch? I can pack a week's worth of lunches for the cost of going out once, not to mention I can work while I eat so that I can go home at a decent hour.

I work in an ICU. They don't let me leave the place during my (paid) lunch.
I'd probably be too cheap and lazy to do that anyway, though. I usually bring a few ryebread sangewedges and some diced fruit or something.
A packed lunch can be really nice if you spend a couple extra minutes on it the night before.

One of my coworkers, the cute one, sometimes brings a whole bag of various ingredients and constructs a burrito at the table.

I'm already pretty introverted by nature and now that I work from home I find myself having to force myself to get out more and socialize (whether with friends or family or my gal, whatever). When I first transitioned I was noticing that I was getting increasingly irritable and a little depressed but it was mostly a side effect of the isolation.

It's easier to blur the line between work and the rest of your life. You're so used to doing "office things" in your house and so that can lead to checking emails past your shift. I also noticed I was taking fewer breaks (trips to the water cooler, conversation with coworkers, etc. tends to take care of that when you're in an office). I'd advise anybody not to let work creep into everything else and to make sure you continue to give yourself breaks to regain focus and energy.

Used to pack lunches when i worked a lot of hours, but my new job i only work 8 1/2 hour shifts, so i just have something to eat before i got in, and maybe a cup of coffee or two during the shift, along with a big jug of water. 9 hours ish without eating is pretty easy.

Packed lunch people depress the shit out of me. How can you possibly stand to be in the same building all day? Sitting under the fluorescent lights almost the entire time you see sun?

Sure, it costs maybe a few bucks more, but I take an hour lunch and go eat on a patio, or at least somewhere that I can watch some ESPN and have a beer or something, if I don't feel hungry that day. The couple of saved bucks to sit at your desk or in the stinky common areas are not worth it.

Of course, I absolutely fucking hate the salaried 8-5 shit, where some people love it, so I freelance now. Office life is just so fucking draining.

I go to a drive-thru (even if it's within walking distance) and eat by myself in my car in the parking garage.

I always make sure to go to lunch late to avoid people coming in and out and I've learned where to park and which cars to park by so people aren't passing by but I'm hidden by other cars.

I pack a lunch 3-4 days out of the week. It's not exciting but I work at a mall where the cheapest thing to eat is McDonalds, and anything else I'm about to spend over $8 for.

I stopped eating breakfast and lunch, best decision I ever made. Eating a sandwich for lunch gives me a nasty carb crash. 15hr fasting is a great way to stay sharp and thin. Plus I can go home earlier and come in later. Why would I want to spend time dicking around at work when I could hit my 8-9 hours much faster without a break?

Just get your shit from the fridge, sit down next to your coworkers and eat it. Don't talk to them, beyond "Is this seat free?", and if they ask you something, answer tersely and concisely.
You don't need to engage in conversation to be polite. If someone starts acively giving you shit, just say you're tired or something and don't want to talk right now - that tends to shut people up.

You don't sit down to enjoy a meal when you go to a business lunch. A business lunch is to talk to a potential / current client, or another collegue, or something. The point is business and talking. There is tons of etiquette involved and you're not going to be ordering a giant steak and a beer on a business lunch. You'll be getting something that is easy to eat professionally so you don't look like a slob. Maybe you are the type who enjoys the idea of a business lunch more than a comfy meal that satisfies your hunger, but then that is something different that what you asked for in the OP. But you have never been on a business lunch and probably work at Wendy's so I am not surprised you would suggest that as being the "Chad" option.

My work gives us an $8 stipend that we can spend at a few restaurants around the office so I just do that
