Tried Hamm's once. It was really sour and really heavy on the corn, like many cheaper beers. I wasn't a fan.

Mickey's is excellent and actually hoppier than most malt liquors, but not too bitter either. The grenade shaped bottles are fun, but kind of overpriced. Wish it was available in 40s or cans where I live.

6 talboys of PBR is $4.98 at the gas station near my house. That is the go-to for me. I don't know if it actually tastes good or not because it is what I was made to drink before I could buy my own alcohol and now it tastes fine to me. Seems to leave my stomach better off than high-life and tastes better than Busch or Natty.

Lone Star is my go-to, with Miller High Life from the gas station if I can't be bothered to go to the store. I wouldn't call Lone Star cheap, it's a quality beer that is modestly priced. Miller High Life is the only cheap beer that's really digestible and doesn't taste like hoppy water and grain alcohol.

I get Steel Reserve 8.1% and dilute it with about 50% water. Great way to stretch your beer dollar lol

Keystone is surprisingly rarer than Genesee in Ohio. Keystone is only at grocery stores and certain gas stations. Keystone Ice is only at Speedway gas stations, and the fabled regular Keystone is nowhere to be found. Milwaukee's Best Premium I have only found at a liquor store.

I had the Genesee Beer. Very sweet and thin bodied lager. Less sour than Hamm's. It's decent but very watery. Might as well get Genny Light. It's a very pleasant beer to chug.

Rainier and Miller Highlife are both the best cheap options here, I've seen Genesee around but it's always been at least a buck more expensive than Miller or Rainier so I don't touch it.

I mean, also I can get a 24 pack of Rainier for under 20 bucks so other cheap swill can fuck off. The hops aren't terrible and it manages to taste like beer.

Im a Miller-Coors man. I love all their products. I'll also buy Hamm's, Reiner or Milwaukee if I can find them, they're a steal.

I used to be all about IPAs but they started tasting like shit with every brewery here in California adding 306 different hops + dry hopping plus whatever meme process they can come up with. Schlitz Red Bull was actually extremely carbonated, as much as soda or close. I drank it out of a 40 and was really surprised. It burned because of carbonation like a Pepsi does sometimes.

OP here again, I got a Milwaukee's Best Ice and Icehouse Edge. Icehouse Edge is probably better than Steel Reserve. 8.0 vs 8.1 abv and same price. Still tastes pretty foul. Milwaukee's Best Ice is 99 cents for a 24 oz and tastes a lot better.

The first time I had Icehouse Edge I didn't taste the alcohol. This time it is really noticeable. Taste like vodka was added to a regular Icehouse. The first time it was warm, now it is pretty cold. I think the "ice" beers (5.5-5.9 abv) are decent tasting. They aren't watered down yet not noticeably (or taste artificially) alcoholic. Good bang for the buck.

so im going to review this as a cider not a beer, i do not like sweet ciders ( i burned myself at 15 on strongbow.) This is not too sweet , it is at a very good 8.2% which i like a lot, the taste while it can be a little muted is quite distinctly apple, the smell is what you would expect, it is a little bit more of a dry cider than others but the taste is just pure apple cider as it should be . As ciders go which im not the biggest fan of anymore and given the percentage of alcohol easily an 8 out of 10 if not more. Another review no one asked for
