How did this become the favored beer of homeless people, skells, degenerates, alcoholics, and losers?

And how did Tecate and Miller High Life replace PBR as the favored hipster beer?

Our local bar just replaced the $2 beer tap from PBR to this shit.
Honestly it tastes the same as every other shitty cheap beer. I'm sure it has something to do with marketing. Probably offering it cheaper or something.

>> No.10870879

>>10870872
It actually tastes a lot different from PBR and Bud.

Coors has a slight sweet taste to it while Bud doesn't. And Bud is also more abrasive in taste.

It is actually cheaper than Coors Light, despite it probably being more expensive to produce.

But there are cheaper, stronger beers. And I've noticed this trend somewhat recently.

Poor people used to drink malt liquor, but now I see mostly Coors Banquet instead.

I like a Coor's banquet. It reminds me of when a buddy had an entry key to a condo's pool deck, but you couldn't have glass containers, so we'd just get a ton of Coor's banquet aluminum bottles and get day drunk then eat pizza.

I miss that.

You know what though, it's probably slightly better than Budweiser and you can get drunk for less than 6 dollars off it (assuming most people get at least buzzed of 3 cans).

I'd rather drink Coors than MHL or Bud. But in my neighborhood Tecate is the same price, so I drink that. Not like the beer is that much better, but the can looks cooler. Might be a stupid thing to base a decision off, but at the end of a hot day when you're just drinking something light and fizzy it really doesn't matter.

They didn't sell it east of CO to make it appear more valuable for when they were inevitably to expand east. Basically a long term marketing strategy.

It's always been illegal for private individuals to transport alcohol across state lines, but people did used to drive to CO and load up with cases of coors to sell on the black market in states where it wasn't distributed.
