It was just this like five days ago
Massive growth

Just barely getting serious in studying mushrooms. Those pink oyster mushrooms look really cool for just 5 days.
How long do you let them go for?
I've been looking up how to grow/cook morel mushrooms.
Morels and lions mane are both on the top of my must grow list, but still interested in pink, blue, and gold oyster mushrooms too.
I need to look up a pdf file to explain the whole thing out better.
I also live in the South West of California, so I'm not sure if outdoor will be possible during 100 degree days like this weekend.

June 23rd I added a pound of colonized grain to a blend of 50/50 pastuerized straw and manure in PIC related. Its best to use only hardwood sawdust or straw but its all I had. I would honestly avoid growing morel mushrooms because considering youre interested in medicinal gourmet mushrooms like lions mane and maybe pink oyster you may come to find disinterest in toxic gourmet mushrooms like the morel or the agaricus bisporus(portobello, cremini, and white button). Oyster mushrooms are fast and easy to grow, shiitake is extremely medicinal and tastes great, lions mane obviously has benefits, maitake, etc. Are all worth looking into

Added a liquid culture of pink oyster mushrooms to grains in a bag, the whole bag turned white because the mushroom colonized it with mycelium. Then I moved it to a bag of straw as you can see in
>>10851706
This is basically called doing a bulk transfer and means im getting the mushroom growing and strong so when I move it to the bulk substrate or straw it will be better at competing with other organisms trying to consume the same straw, wood, or whatever substrate they have. The pic u see is a fully colonized bag of straw substrate and its even turned pink because the pink oyster mushroom does that.

What's your opinion on mushrooms slurrys?
Also, whats bad about morels? Is it a certain chemical in it like Portobellos? Sorry i know i could probably Google all this, but you have been pretty informational so far. I always keep an eye out for your threads/like your threads.

I didn’t think you could grow morels. You won’t be able to find them in the wild in southern CA though so good luck in your endeavor

Here is a vid of a guy that grows them on his urban farm.
I know it's in a cooler climate where he's at.
He just makes a mushroom spore slurry and spreads it around his yard. Of course it's not that simple but definitely a bomb watch.
Also can anyone recommend Any bomb mushroom sites or pdf files?
Only website I've seen so far is: https://www.mushrooms.com/mushroom-spores-cultures/edible-mushrooms

now show us an x-ray of the mushrooms growing in your brain

>> No.10853106

I messed around with a couple closet grows.
another way to keep your spores going is to add some of your spores to a jar of honey water. keep that in your incubator and you'll see the mycelium soon enough. you can pull it out with a syringe.
my best results were with wild bird seed, taking as many sunflower seeds out as I could.
